Following completion of his Law Degree, Phil went on to continue his legal studies at Chester Law School in 1988 before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1991. Philip joined the Firm as a Solicitor in the Family Department in 1997 and became a Partner in 2004.
Phil specialises in divorce and other family matters and has particular expertise in dealing with the financial aspect of the breakdown of relationships, including high value financial settlements involving complex business assets and farming cases.
Phil is a Collaborative Family Lawyer and encourages his clients to resolve their disputes in a non-confrontational way, to reduce the stress of a difficult situation more information on which can be found here. Phil is also a key member of the Firm's Disputed Probate Team and has a keen interest and expertise in claims made for financial provision out of a deceased's estates and probate disputes.
