Emma obtained a 2:1 (Hons) Law Degree from Exeter University in 2006, before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester in 2007, achieving Distinction. Emma became a Solicitor in 2009 and practiced at a large Staffordshire law firm before joining FBC Manby Bowdler as a Solicitor in the Family Department in 2015. In 2021 Emma was promoted to the role of Associate.

Emma advises on all family matters and specialises in divorce, separation, cohabitation, financial matters arising from relationship breakdown and disputes involving children. Emma is a Collaboratively Trained Family Lawyer and encourages her clients to resolve their disputes in a non-confrontational way, to reduce the stress of a difficult situation.
